Grand Traverse Industries Inc. is a private nonprofit Michigan corporation, founded in May 1974, to provide training and employment services to persons with disabilities and other barriers to employment so they may achieve their highest level of independence.  Grand Traverse Industries will provide the highest possible quality products and services to our customers.

Grand Traverse Industries earns revenues for support of its services through fees and contracts with Community Mental Health Boards, Michigan Career Development-Rehabilitation Services, private insurances, and others.  Revenue is earned from industrial operations including custodial, vending sales and services, plastic bag manufacturing, subcontract packaging and assembly, as well as a variety of contracts for housekeeping and stewarding in the hospitality industry.

GTI has an Endowment Fund, established for the purpose of providing long-term support.  Donations, requests of money, stock property, or memorials are welcome.  On behalf of the people it serves Grand Traverse Industries Inc. is always grateful for support.
  Membership
GTI is a member of MARO Employment and Training Association, Traverse City Area Chamber of Commerce, the Traverse Bay Economic Development Corporation, American Congress of Community Supports and Employment Services (ACCSES), and the ARC. Grand Traverse Industries does not discriminate in admission, access, treatment, or employment in services and activities.
 

GTI responds to requests for information about products and services on an individual basis or through its brochures, website, presentations, tours, newsletter, etc.
